I use mumble, not the in-game voice chat, so I don't know if that even works in the Mac Client. as expected).Īt which point, you likely need to define your "press to talk" key in the Options/Key-map panel - I don't remember if the Mac Client has it defaulted to "z" or not, but I believe you can re-define it. If you see a "z" in the window (no program necessary) then, from the OSX point of view, the mouse program is working correctly (i.e. Open a Terminal window and simply click your mouse button. One thing you can try, which may or may not tell you anything useful. It is truly an arcane art, and not as simple as it seems. "Mice" are funny things They transmit a code when pressed which is "caught" by the OS control program and then interpreted, and that interpretation transmitted to the game. Well I gave it a go and set my middle mouse button to Z but voice chat did not seem to work for me. Hopefully it's something else they can fix. It is a known issue that the game does not correctly show the keys pressed, especially more unusual ones and just shows as Unknown. I find it easy to use and bind the buttons to the keys I set in the Key Mapping for the quickslots or other binds specific for LOTRO. I use Steermouse and have done for a long time to customise my key bindings for different games, including LOTRO. Has anyone else been able to bind mouse buttons successfully? I have thought about trying a binding utility outside of LotRO, but thought I'd ask here first. MovementRunLock ]īut that's not recognized either. I've also tried adding the binding by hand to lotro.keymap using: The in-game UI binding panel doesn't seem to recognize buttons at all.

I have a pretty standard MS Intellimouse with 5 buttons and was hoping to bind one on the side to run-lock. Don't know if this has been discussed yet, but I can't seem to bind any extra mouse buttons.
